520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc | Sebastian Gorg introduces social workflows as a new application domain for Process-Aware Information Systems and draws the design of a social workflow platform that enables private individuals to make use of workflow technology in their everyday lives. Whenever a group of persons works together on a challenging or multifaceted task, a social workflow begins. In textual form, such social workflows are already described and shared in various Internet communities which provide experiential knowledge for achieving different goals, in areas like home repair, vacation trips and computer troubleshooting. The envisioned platform enables its users to construct social workflows according to their specific needs, to share them with a community and to keep track of the execution.
